Our family cruised on Carnival Dream to the Caribbean when our kids were 12 & 14, here were my favorite things about the Carnival Dream cruise ship.
I would also consider these things the best things about the Carnival Dream cruise ship.

My favorite things about the Carnival Dream Cruise Ship
1. Guy’s Burgers on Carnival Dream
This has to be listed as number one as I asked the rest of my family what their favorite thing was about the Carnival Dream ship and all three of them answered Guy’s Burgers.
Guy’s Burger Joint is located on all of Carnival’s ships. On Carnival Dream, Guy’s Burgers is located poolside, we loved the convenient location. Enjoy delicious burgers (or veggie burgers-you just have to ask) as you bask in the Caribbean sun. There is no charge to eat at Guy’s Burgers. Guy’s Burger Joint on Carnival Dream was open the first day of the cruise (embarkation day) 11:30-6:00 p.m and the other days 12:00-6:00p.m.
2. Carnival Dream Waterslides
There are 2 large waterslides on Carnival Dream in addition to 2 smaller side by side racing slides. This is part of the Carnival Waterworks area.
We had a lot of fun on the waterslides on the Dream cruise ship, especially the day we decided to stay onboard rather than go to port (Cozumel). We had the waterslides to ourselves!
The Twister and the Drainpipe are the 2 large waterslides on the ship.
There is no cost to use the waterslides on Carnival Cruise Lines.
3. Towel Animals Everywhere Poolside
On the second to last day (6th day – Cozumel) we were surprised with towel animals all over the pool deck. They filled every lounge chair, it was quite neat to see. I realize this makes me sound like a little kid, however I really did enjoy seeing the Carnival towel animals everywhere.
It must have taken the cruise staff hours to fold those towels into so many different animals (and even longer to then wash all those towels).
If you are travelling with kids or are a big kid like me, be sure to check to pool deck each morning before getting off the ship so you don’t miss it.
4. Carnival Chocolate Melting Cake
The Carnival warm melting cake is served in the main dining rooms. You will find it available nightly on the Carnival cruise dessert menu. The best part is that there is no charge for this yummy dessert.
5. Mini Golf on Carnival Dream
Mini golf was another favorite thing about the Carnival Dream cruise ship. It is a fun activity for the whole family. There is no charge to play mini golf on Carnival Dream.

6. Carnival Circle C Kids Club
Carnival Circle C is the kids club for ages 12-14. While I obviously didn’t partake in that, my kids did. And the kids having fun and having their own time makes it one of the best things about Carnival cruises.
Let’s face it, if the kids aren’t having fun you probably aren’t either.
It is a great program with age appropriate activities. You can read more about the Circle C program here.
7. Carnival Deam Coffee Bar
The Coffee Bar is one of my favorite things about the Carnival Dream eventhough there is an additional cost. I have a tea addiction and thought the cost was reasonable. Since a London Fog wasn’t on the menu I’d order an earl grey tea latte with vanilla – so good.
The other nice thing about the Carnival Dream Coffee Bar is the location. It is on deck 5 (promenade deck) with easy access to outside. It was great to grab a tea and walk along the promenade deck each morning.
You can find the Carnival Coffee Bar Drink Menu here.
8. Blue Iguana Cantina
The Blue Iguana Cantina is another of my favorite things about the Carnival Dream. It is actually one of the best things about Carnival as it is available on all their ships.
The BlueIguana Cantina is conveniently located poolside beside Guy’s Burgers. They are open for breakfast and lunch. We wished we had tried their breakfast burritos earlier in the cruise. They are delicious.
There is no additional cost to eat at the Blue Iguana Cantina on any of Carnival’s ships. I love that Carnival has such a great choice of places to eat that are all included in your cruise fare.

9. The whole family had fun
My favorite thing about Carnival Dream and our Caribbean cruise was that the whole family loved it and we created memories to last a life time. A vacation just isn’t the same when you know someone in your family isn’t loving it. On this ship we loved every minute of it.
Our shore excursions helped make it special too. We went to Stingray City in Grand Cayman and Dunns River Falls in Jamaica. Read about Stingray City here and Dunn’s River Falls here.
