Here you’ll find a complete list of the Carnival Radiance food included in your cruise fare.
Food in an important part of any cruise vacation. It’s also important to know what food is included and what restaurants you have to pay extra for.
After our recent cruise vacation on this ship, we put together this complete list of Carnival Radiance food included. Here are the restaurants you don’t have to pay any extra to eat at.
Carnival Radiance food included (no extra cost restaurants)
Carnival Cruise Line has a really great selection of included restaurants, especially for lunch. Most days there are 8 complimentary restaurant options to choose from for lunch. That’s a whole lotta choice.
1. Big Chicken
This is a casual eatery that Shaquille O’Neal is partners in, and there is one on the Carnival Radiance, as well as other select Carnival ships.
Big Chicken is located on the Carnival Radiance on deck 9 aft (back of the ship) by the Tides Pool. The hours were 7am – 3pm.
The menu at Big Chicken consists of 4 different chicken sandwiches, one of which is called “Shaq Attack” and chicken strips. As well as a few sides: potato salad, house made sweet & spicy pickles, and jalapeno slaw.
Surprisingly, Big Chicken is also open for breakfast. The Big Chicken breakfast menu consisted of “chicken & biscuit”, “biscuit & egg”, and “three cheese omelet”.
My son tried the M.D.E (most dominant ever), which is a chicken sandwich with pickles and shaq sauce. He thought it was good. We didn’t try the breakfast.
2. BlueIguana Cantina
The Blueiguana Cantina is another included restaurant on Carnival Radiance that serves breakfast and lunch. When we sailed on the Radiance, the hours were split. 7:30am – 10:30 am and then 12:00-2:30pm.
You can find the BlueIguana on the lido deck, deck 9 on the main pool deck.
There are two lines for food service here. For breakfast, one line (closest to the pool) is for huevos rancheros and the other line (closest to the doors) is for a breakfast burrito. Then at lunch the huevos rancheros line becomes the taco line.
The taco line always seems longer. I’m not sure if they are just more popular or if this is the line people see when they leave the pool area and just don’t realize burritos are made on the other side.
I love the breakfast burritos and make sure to have at least one every cruise. Don’t forget to top it off at the salsa bar. You’ll find this complimentary restaurant on most Carnival cruise ships.
3. Guy’s Burger Joint
Guy’s Burger Joint is one of the most popular complimentary restaurants on Carnival. And for good reason, they have some of the best burgers at sea. The french fries are pretty tasty too.
Guy’s burgers are available on most Carnival ships. Guy’s Burgers on Carnival Radiance is conveniently located on the pool deck (deck 9). It was open 12:00pm-6:00pm. This is a great spot for a casual early dinner.
The lines were often longest on sea days and at noon.
Tip for vegetarians: While Guy’s burgers no longer has veggie burgers (boo!), the nearby Carnival Deli does. Bring your veggie burger over to Guy’s toppings bar and load it up.
4. Guy’s Pig and Anchor Smokehouse
Guy’s Pig and Anchor Smokehouse is another of the free restaurants on Carnival Radiance by celebrity chef Guy Fieri.
You can find this one on deck 10 aft above the Tides pool (aft pool). The Pig & Anchor had limited hours, just 12:00-2:30pm and it wasn’t open on our port day (it was a 3 day cruise, so just one port). I’m not sure if this is always the case or not.
The smell coming from the Smokehouse is just incredible. If you weren’t hungry when you walked by you will be as soon as you smell it.
My young adult son came on this cruise with us and this was his favorite lunch spot. The “Championship Pork Butt” (pulled pork) and “Mac Daddy Mac n Cheese” were his favorite.
Find the Carnival Radiance Guy’s Pig & Anchor Smokehouse menu here.
5. Pasta Bar
The Pasta Bar is a free lunch option on Carnival Radiance. It is one lunch spot that is easy to miss.
The Cucina del Capitano is an Italian restaurant that does have an extra charge for dinner. However, from 12:00pm – 2:30pm, this specialty restaurant becomes the Captain’s Pasta Bar.
Build your own pasta dish. You choose your noodles, choose your sauce, then you extras.
6. Carnival Deli
Here’s where you’ll find both hot and cold sandwiches, hot dogs and veggie burgers. You can see the Carnival Deli menu here.
The Deli is open from 11am – 11pm. It is on deck 9 between Blue Iguana Cantina and the Lido Marketplace (buffet).
7. Lido Marketplace
The Lido Marketplace is the buffet restaurant on Carnival Radiance.
No list of the Carnival Radiance food included can be complete with out the buffet. The Lido Marketplace is on deck 9 behind Guy’s Burgers and BlueIguana Cantina.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night snacks are all offered here, but keep in mind that it does close between meals.
When we cruised on Carnival Radiance the hours were:
- Breakfast 7:00am – 11:30am
- Lunch 12:00 – 2:30pm
- Dinner 6:00pm – 9:30pm
- Late night snacks midnight-1:30am
The times of course can change. As you can see, if you are hungry between 2:30 and 6:00pm you will have to choose between one of the other complimentary restaurants.
Lido Marketplace Tip: The start of the buffet has a sign listing what is offered at that time. This is a nice touch. It’s much better than standing in line, walking through the buffet only to decide none of the choices are appealing. Or to fill your plate with the first couple items only to realize there is something better further down.
8. Pizzeria del Capitano
The Carnival Radiance pizzeria is located on deck 9 at the back by the Tides Bar. This is the perfect late night snack option as it is open from 9:00am to 4:00am. So not quite 24 hours but close.
9. Carnival Radiance dining room
Carnival Radiance actually has 2 main dining rooms. For dinner, you will be assigned to one of them depending on the dining time you selected. Both menus are the same.
The Carnival Radiance dining room has both delicious food and a fun atmosphere. My family enjoyed every meal we had in the Carnival Radiance main dining room. My favorite was one of the herb crusted salmon. This was one of the “Emeril Selects”, a menu item recommended by executive chef Emeril Lagasse.
Most of the food in the main dining room is included in your cruise fare. They do have a “steakhouse selection” section that has an upcharge. Surf and turf is offered nightly for an additional cost of $23. My son had this and thought it was well worth the additional cost.
No matter which main course you try, the chocolate melting cake is a must try. It is Carnival’s signature dessert.
During your meal you can expect to see “showtime”. The crew members put on a short singing and/or dancing show. It’s just another reason Carnival is known as the Fun Ships. It is a great time.
Carnival Radiance main dining room dining times
Carnival Radiance early dining is at 6 pm and late dining is at 8:15pm. Both of these assigned dining times are served in the Sunrise main dining room on deck 3 and 4 forward.
If you selected “Your Time Dining” you will eat at the Sunset restaurant which is also deck 3 & 4 but aft (back). Dinner is available between 5:30pm and 9:00pm. You can just show up anytime between then, or better yet, check-in on the app and they will notify you when your table is ready.
When you make your cruise reservation, you will be asked to choose either early, late, or Your Time dining. We had “Your Time” dining and were lucky enough to have the same table and wait staff each night.
The Carnival Radiance Sunset main dining room serve breakfast on port days from 7:30am – 9:30am.
10. Carnival Radiance seaday brunch
The popular seaday brunch makes it’s way onto our list of Carnival Radiance food included. This is offered on, you guessed it, sea days.
Brunch is offered from 8:30am – 12:00pm in the Sunset restaurant.
The Carnival Radiance seaday brunch has classic items like eggs benedict and steak and eggs, but also has burgers and fried chicken. Most of the brunch menu food is included, there are a few menu items that do have an extra cost, such as lobster benedict and fresh pressed juices.
You can see the full seaday brunch menu here.
11. Carnival Radiance Tea Time
Afternoon tea was offered on the sea day of our Carnival Radiance cruise.
It was offered for one hour only. From 3:00 – 4:00pm on deck 4 of the Sunset restaurant (one of the main dining rooms). This is a nice option for those who like traditional afternoon tea.
12. JavaBlue Cafe
The JavaBlue Cafe is the coffee shop onboard Carnival Radiance and other select ships. While the coffees and teas have an additional cost, they offer complimentary pastries in the mornings.
This was a pleasant surprise. While it wouldn’t be considered a full meal, it’s perfect to tie you over until breakfast. Especially if you are up before your partner.
Carnival Radiance food included summary
As you can see, from this impressive list of Carnival Radiance food included, you won’t feel like you are missing out by not paying to eat at one of the other specialty restaurants. This is one of my favorite things about a Carnival cruise, the selection of free dining options.
On a Carnival cruise you can eat at only the free restaurants and love it.
However, if you are looking for even more selection. There are also a number of specialty restaurants that do have an additional fee. These include a Bonsai Sushi, steakhouse, Italian restaurant, and a casual seafood shack.
It is important to remember that menus, costs, and details can change. This was our experience on Carnival Radiance.
